Our Mission

Knowing God and Making Him Known
Knowing God is the greatest privilege any of us can have. Making Him Known is a responsibility we all share. Through the study of the Word of God, worship, prayer, sharing of testimony, and fellowship, we purpose to reveal and expose a REAL God, a true and living God. You will, at all times, be encouraged in your walk of faith to get to know Him and share Him. |
Our Vision
|
Trust God to Build His Church
In Psalm 127:1 it says "Unless God builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." Our desire is to honor God and to be used of Him (as “living stones” – 1 Peter 2:5) in the building of His church as we follow the principles He has given us in His Word. We acknowledge Him as Lord of the church (Eph. 5:23, Rev. 1-3) and desire to follow His Lordship in every aspect of church life and practice. Grow Deeper In Our Relationship with Him |
.Grow Deeper In Our Relationship with Him
In 2 Peter 3:18, the Apostle Peter says that we are to "... grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..." Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship! As we focus on Him in worship, communicate with Him in prayer, and gain knowledge of Him by spending time in His Word, our relationship with Him grows deeper and deeper. Our desire is that this church would do more than merely involve people in religious activity, but that we would increasingly deepen our relationships with God. |
Spiritual Development
Prayer To teach people about prayer and how to participate in prayer both individually and corporately. (Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16-17, Luke 6:12, Acts 1:14, Romans 15:29-30, Ephesians 6:18-19) Teaching of the Word Only the WORD can make people spiritual and build them up, changing us from the inside out!! (Acts 19:20, Acts 20:32). Teaching, like prayer, was a priority in the Master’s ministry and it should be in ours. (Luke 2:40, Luke 5:1, Luke 6:6, Luke 13:10, Luke 19:47, Acts 5:42) Worship To develop, within the church, sensitivity to the Holy spirit in the area of worship. To teach and practice worship individually and corporately. (Psalm 16:11, Isaiah 40:31, Acts 13:1-2, Acts 20:20) Fellowship To encourage and provide certain times and places for fellowship. The word teaches us to encourage and exhort one another daily and it also teaches us that the people we associate with affect us. The company we keep does matter! (Proverbs 13:20, Proverbs 27:17, Acts 2:42, Acts 5:42, Hebrews 3:12, Hebrews 10:25) Evangelism Soul winning – reaching out to neighbors, friends, relatives, and the city with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:16) Mark 16;15-20 gives to us the great commission for the church and also God’s promise to confirm His Word as we share it. HCCC’s goal is to equip people to be soul winners in their daily activities throughout life. (Philippians 2:13, John 4:17-18, 38-41) |
