Our History
In 2015, Pastor Mark & Dena Trice, of Mont Belvieu, Tx. founded Hill Country Cowboy Church. A non-denominational church serving Wimberley and the Texas Hill Country. It was birthed for one purpose – to share the life changing love of Jesus Christ. Their passion and desire to be obedient to the call, traveled 213 miles each Sunday and Wednesday evening, to launch what they knew was God’s plan. From the beginning, Hill Country Cowboy Church has purposed to create an atmosphere of Love where Jesus is given glory in every good thing that is done. Toward the later end of 2016, God started to reveal his change to Pastor Mark that was in the near future. He and Pastor John prayerfully worked together for several months to transition the HCCC family into what God had for it in this next chapter of life.
Shortly after 2017, John Guillory accepted the call to become HCCC’s next Lead Pastor. John and wife, Brenda Guillory had been faithful in various capacities of leadership ministry for over 20 yrs with a heart to serve God’s people and share what the power of God’s Word will and can do in a persons life. Pastor John and Brenda, now lead Hill Country Cowboy Church with a passion to see people’s lives transformed and living in Victory by the good news of Jesus. Pastor John preaches and teaches the all-powerful word of God in the most relevant way applied to your daily life. Firmly rooted in scripture, he emphasize a positive message of power and hope. Everyone is welcomed at HCCC, it is a community church. It is our sincere desire that all men, women, boys and girls come into a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and experience daily, the power of His eternal love. A believer can increasingly grow into an intimate, vibrant relationship with Christ as he or she becomes more grounded in God’s Word. We are dedicated to creating a strong community where people can connect, learn, and grow. And we are passionate about living life – real life – with our members and our community. With a deep desire to live out the Gospel in everyday life, HCCC continues to passionately pursue God, love each other well, equip believers to do the ministry of the church, and “Go into all the world…” |
